My Antique Booth Unveil

After a few month wait, I finally have my spot at Acushnet River Antique Store located in New Bedford Ma. New Bedford, an old New England Whaling seaport, has recently been on many nationally recognized "up and coming" lists for it's artistically rich demographic, it's architecturally significant neighborhoods, it's beautifully seated waterfront location, and it's culturally diverse heritage. One of New Bedford's best kept secrets (in my opinion) is it's bubbling antique store scene. We've got Acushnet River Antique's, New Bedford Antiques at Wamsutta Place, New Bedfod Antiques at the Cove, and New England Demolition and Salvage, all located in massive mill buildings that once housed New Bedford's bustling manufacturing industry. To me, these antique stores encapsulate all of the noteworthy reasons that have put New Bedford's downtown historic district on the map recently.

Ok, so back to interior design stuff!

Here's my new antique booth space just a few days ago. It's tiny at a mere 20 sq/ft.

and, here it is after a few hours of some heavy lifting (thanks to the hubby) and arranging (thanks to my sister Katie).

Here's a peek at some of the merchandise...... I'll be filling new pieces in weekly.

One of my favorite recent finds....a pair of stunning brightly colored, brass fitted Chinese lamps with some fresh new white shades.

Another lucky score on a PAIR of blue and white chinese lamps outfitted with some fresh new empire shaped shades to round off a blue, white and brass display.

A white faux bois console table/desk straddling a bright mint accent table. Both with my hardware obsession of the moment - O ring pulls.

Some 1960's astology art prints, vintage cheetah glasses and a signed Townsend Pomeranian pooch help fill up the freshly painted Hollywood Regency style buffet/hutch.
